Kansai Paints Nepal launched
Kansai Nerolac Paints, India -- a subsidiary of Kansai Paints Company, Japan -- has started operations in Nepal under the brand name Kansai Paints Nepal. According to a press statement, KNP had acquired 68 percent stake in Nepal Shalimar Paints last year by paying Rs 230 million. "Kansai Paints Nepal will utilize production facility of Nepal Shalimar Paints to manufacture Nerolac range of products that Nepal has been currently importing," said the statement.
Ishino, president of Kansai Paints Company Japan; HM Bharuka, managing director of Kansai Nerolac Paints India; and Anuj Jain, director of marketing and sales (decorative) of Kansai Nerolac Paints, India were present at the launching ceremony, said the statement.
"With our presence in about seventeen countries across the globe, it gives us immense pride to commence our operations in Nepal. This association will help us offer our international expertise and superior range of products to our consumers in Nepal,” the statement quoted Ishino. The company manufactures a diversified range of products ranging from decorative paints coatings for homes, offices, hospitals and hotels to sophisticated industrial coatings for most of the industries said the statement.
