In recent days in Nepal,
lacking of hope and potential of employment the very energetic youth
population has made their way to foreign
countries, which could be unbearable damage
for
the nation. Having said this our Nepalese government do not have accurate or
even tentative data of those population those who are continuously migrating in
the foreign land for the better financial security and prosperity.
Bardaan-1974 AD
The trend of foreign employment begun right after the British- Nepal war, at that time 4650 Nepali youth power and potential had recruited as an employee of British Army (British Gorkha Regiment). Most probably that was the first lot of youth power out sourcing tendency in the history of foreign employment. Likewise unemployed Nepalese youth started their way towards the neighbor country India and its territorial states Assam and Darjeeling. Then the idea and option of foreign employment extended towards the gulf nations as a low skilled manpower. But high skilled youth and educated manpower started to migrant in many other nations such as USA, Australia, Japan, and Europe to achieve their financial security and academic successes.
We do not see any substantial ideas in the country to address and convince the trending or potential youth and educated population to stop being continuous brain drain. State has clearly failed to attract and address this particular population, this trend has been drastically increased in the present days but somehow this population has generated economic scope and strength sending money and wealth back to their native country. That is why Nepal's economic growth has been depended on the remittance of the foreign base employment. But in the contrary the state has not been able to address their problems which they are constantly facing in the foreign land and their work place. That reality clearly indicates that, not only the national politics has failed to address the general public but Nepal's bureaucracy also lacking very much to address these very long due issues. In compare of other developed country, the employees of working in the gulf regions facing and experiencing so many discrimination and abuses by their employers. In those countries so many Nepali women workers especially domestic workers facing and experiencing various types of discrimination to the sexual abuses. They do not have ultimate place or institution to file their grievances for justice beside their own governmental institute such as Embassies. But the various reports shows that we are unable to address and protect their fundamental human rights lacking bilateral approach and relation. But in very recent days, Nepal government has initiated through the Nepalese Embassies to address these very commonly surfaced issues coordination with golf nations based on their protocol and bilateral relation. At least Nepal government has started the initial dialogue with those nations and related institutions. This is the very positive initiative of our Nepal government but issue wise to implement realistically, there is very long way to go not only addressing the surfaced or untold issues but much needed it diplomatic approach and guts to table the issue with keen intent to resolve them in the permanent term and bureaucratic fashion. With out timely addressing these issues would more harm and damage not our bilateral relation and image but our working class people, their dream and future of economic prosperity and well being.
