Discount galore in Nepal Telecom anniversary

KATHMANDU, Feb. 4: Nepal Telecom has given anniversary discount offers in its different service tariffs on the occasion of its Ninth Anniversary. According to Amarnath Singh, Director General of the Nepal Telecom, Amarnath Singh, the NT has offered 225 local calls out of minimum PSTN monthly charge (Rs. 200) from Falgun 1, 2069 BS to Baisakh 31, 2070 BS. 
Also, the NT offers 50 per cent discount until Fagun 30 beginning from today on GMS service within the network of NT GSM and CDMA service.

The Customers can enjoy NT´s GSM and CDMA Night Call Service (10:00 pm to 6:00 am) in just 30 paisa per minute that will be effective until for Fagun 30 beginning from Monday.

The NT fixed Rs. 7.75 for Australia from Rs. 12 and Rs. 4 for UK by dialing 1424 until for Fagun 30 from today.Likewise, the NT offers 10 GB bonus for WiMAX corporate clients on data package (32 GB/ 60GB). It will be valid up to Fagun 30.NT said that the above charges are exclusive of all applicable government taxes.

Minister suggests NT not to forget social responsibilitiesNepal Telecom has forwarded an ambitious plan to distribute the fourth generation 4g Wimax services to all the VDCs of the 75 districts of the country.

The wireless technology has been started in Kathmandu valley, Banepa, Dhulikhel, Chautara, Dolakha, Ramechhap , Chitwan, Pokhara, Bhairahawa, Butwal and Palpa and from today, in Biratnagar, Itahari, Dharan, Birtamod, Dhulabari, Bhadrapur and Hetauda.

Informing about the service at the ninth anniversary of Nepal Telecom, Telecom Managing Director Amarnath Singh said IP CDMA with internet services will be provided in all the major cities of the country within one month and to all VDCs in one and a half year.

The company´s net profit in the current FY is Rs. 11.6 billion as against Rs. 3.13 billion nine years ago.The company has a target to pay Rs. 19.06 billion as revenue to the government in the current fiscal year.

At the programme, Minister for Information and Communications Rajkishor Yadav said his ministry will cooperate to move the company ahead and urged it not to forget social responsibility. He also released a souvenir of the company and honored staffs completing 20 years of service.

Chairman of the company and Information and communications Secretary of the ministry Dhruba Prasad Sharma urged the company to provide services with additional new technologies to meet the clients´ needs.
